Notes

The 13 mile Apple Capital Recreational Loop Trail is in both Chelan and Douglas Counties and is connected by the Wenatchee Pipline Footbridge at the south end of the trail and the Richard Odabashian Bridge at the north. For information about the east side of the trail, view the Apple Capital Recreational Loop Trail (eastside) webpage.

Coming down from the Wenatchee Pipeline Footbridge the trail first runs by some sagebrush and boulders and then runs along South Worthen Street for a short distance before it enters the fenced and well maintained Wenatchee Riverfront Park. The Columbia River almost always stays in view while travelling along the southern end of the westside trail.

The first area you will come across in Wenatchee Riverfront Park is the boat dock area. The area has regular parking and parking for trailers. After the boat dock and a short distance down the trail you will come to the Wenatchee Riverfront Railway and the Riverwalk Crossing Pedestrian Overpass which will take you over the train tracks and into downtown Wenatchee. This area, of off S Worthen Street also has parking. From the Riverfront Railway it's only a short distance to Sternwheeler Park and the Riverfront Park Ice Arena. Parking is available here also.

Farther north on the trail at the bottom of 9th Street in Wenatchee is more parking at the Linden Tree Area. North of the Linden Tree Area on a green stretch of trail you will come into Walla Walla Point Park. Which has plenty of parking and a public swimming area.

Walla Walla Point Park connects to Wenatchee Confluence State Park. You can either leave the paved trail and head into the Horan Natural Area or continue on the trail and head across the footbridge over the Wenatchee River. Across the footbridge you will come to the Olds Station section of Wenatchee Confluence State Park. The trail continues on past the park and takes a short climb to the Richard Odabashian Bridge and on to the eastside of the trail.
