Carolyn Schutte dedication

This plaque at Waterfront Park reads,

In Honor of
Mrs. A. Carolyn Schutte
The future alone will show forth the pleasure enjoyed by the people. As a result of Mrs. Schutte's gift of thousands of feet of river front to the town of Leavenworth. Mrs. Schutte always said that although, in an earthly way, she had ownership of this land, it was already owned by God.

The people of the city of Leavenworth express deep-felt gratitude to Mrs. Schutte; and desire that this generous gift will be used for the benefit of others, in the same spirit in which it was given to the town.
