Rock Island Grade

South on State Route 28 from Rock Island next to the Rock Island Dam is the turn-off for Rock Island Grade Road. The road is unpaved and quite a steep climb but is well maintained and most vehicles should be able to use it in dry weather during the summer months. The road offers a some great views of the fields across the top of Badger Mountain, Rock Island Dam, the Columbia River, and the surrounding valleys.
