Desert Wildlife Area

The Desert Wildlife Area is 35,100 acres and includes Frenchman Hills Wasteway, Winchester Wasteway, Winchester Reservoir, and many small ponds and marshes. Recreational opportunities include hunting, boating, water sports, and fishing. Fishing is year-round for largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, yellow perch, and crappie. Access is limited in some areas.
