Notes

As the Columbia River travels between Okanogan and Lincoln Counties it runs along the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area along the Lincoln County side until Lincoln County ends and Grant County begins. From there it is a short distance to Grand Coulee Dam. Just before the dam Grant County ends and the Columbia begins traveling between Douglas and Okanogan Counties.

Many miles after first connecting with Grant County, the Columbia again runs along Grant County when it leaves Douglas County when Kittitas, Grant and Douglas Counties meet. From this point, the Columbia River will head south between Kittitas and Grant Counties where it will pass through Wanapum Dam. After passing through the Wanapum Dam, the river continues south until Yakima, Kittitas and Grant Counties meet. From this point the Columbia flows between Yakima and Grant Counties where it will pass through the Priest Rapids Dam.

Shortly after Priest Rapids Dam, Grant, Yakima and Benton Counties will meet. The Columbia River then heads east between Grant and Benton Counties until the point where Benton, Grant and Franklin Counties meet. At this point the Columbia River leaves North Central Washington and continues southeast between Franklin and Benton Counties. The point on the map shows where the Columbia River leaves Grant County.
