North Cascades Highway

The North Cascades Highway (State Highway 20) goes through the upper Methow Valley including the city of Winthrop. Many hiking trails and campgrounds are located off the highway. The highway heads up the Cascade Mountains and by the Washington Pass Overlook before it briefly enters Chelan County and on to Skagit County.

The highway is seasonal and is closed for part of the year.
